Let your mercy down

Let your mercy down
Sometimes I don’t know what is getting in the way
Of my own head, when I’ve lost the will
When I can’t look up, cause my mind is stuck
Oh please look down, from heaven's crown
And anytime you fancy let your mercy down
Yeah and anytime you fancy let your mercy down on this little old me
And I’ve watched the clock, as the seconds turn
I’m out of luck, my courage weak
And I need you more, than I ever have
Can you part the clouds, or maybe shout out loud?
And anytime you fancy let your mercy down
Yeah and anytime you fancy let your mercy down on this little old me
I’m an open book, and an ashen coal
Will my pages turn? Or be locked up tight
And you’re in my head, and you’re in my words
Can you fill me up, when I get stuck?
And anytime you fancy let your mercy down
Yeah and anytime you fancy let your mercy down on this little old me

Heaven's eyes

Heaven's eyes
The ones we love we have to put aside sometimes
Nothing gets done when I’m stuck on rules in my head
So I’m going up where the sun it will shine again
To follow the birds and the tracks of your curiousness
Looking up to heavens eyes when I can’t sleep one wink
Memories will light the way and time will fade into grace
into grace oh oh oh oh
I can feel you breathing but there is no body there
none but my own, and my thoughts and the bed that we share
So I’m going down where the shimmery water turns
To empty out my mind to make room to let the good things in
Looking up to heavens eyes when I can’t sleep one wink
Memories will light the way and time will fade into grace
into grace oh oh oh oh

Everything has a season

Everything has a season
Going back to where we once belonged, do you still believe
Are the friendships ever strong, do you still believe that
Everything has a season all the twists and the turns have a reason
do you believe?
Going back to where I followed heart, is the courage there?
Can I go to the deepest part, is the courage still there?
Everything has a season all the twists and the turns have a reason
is the courage still there?
Standing up where I am right now, can I find the joy
In the passing of the day, can I find the joy?
Everything has a season all the twists and the turns have a reason
can I find the joy?

History

History
We made a break to the simple life a move back home from our time away
We thought that we could settle down, bought a couple acres out east of town
With no more looking back at when we were young and free
These old memories will always be….part of our history
Now here we are in this small town the perfect place to raise a family
We thought that we could live life here get a steady job, fix up the house
With no more looking back at when we were young and free
These old memories will always be….part of our history
Look at us now, see all that we’ve done, where we’ve been and who we’ve become
We thought that we could live this dream, it’s never as simple as it seems
So take my hand, we’ve made this plan. Take my hand
With no more looking back at when we were young and free
These old memories will always be….part of our history

California Bound
The west coast, roots of who I am
Oregon guitar in my hand
You always play the right notes with me
You always play the right chords with me
Now I’m Kansas or Indiana, I’m the wind and I’m the rain
And you’re the sun coming down
And your California bound
Dry heat wave we’re lying in the park
My life line, playing music in the dark
You always knew the right words with me
You always sang the right notes with me
Now I’m Kansas or Indiana, I’m the wind and I’m the rain
And you’re the sun coming down
And your California bound
Close friendship, distance separates
You’ll send me new songs from out of state
I always knew the right words with you
I always sang the right notes with you
Now I’m Kansas or Indiana, I’m the wind and I’m the rain
And you’re the sun coming down
And your California bound

Till the feeling's right
04:19
|
|||
Till the feeling’s right
We packed up and moved away. Long days, far away
We left a big part of our hearts, we dropped it all to start again
And we’ll take our time, till the feeling’s right
Till the head and the heart have battle this all out again
Till we see a way that makes sense to go through
Till the feelings right
Family was the strongest pull. We made our own, we made a home
We get caught up inside our lives and feel stuck down, in this town.
And we’ll take our time, till the feeling’s right
Till the head and the heart have battle this all out again
Till we see a way that makes sense to go through
Till the feelings right
Music sowed a seed inside, I’ve been shut down, I’ve tried to hide.
Songs they call from deep to deep. It shakes my core, but it sets me free
And we’ll take our time, till the feeling’s right
Till the head and the heart have battle this all out again
Till we see a way that makes sense to go through
Till the feelings right

Morning Dove
I am the wind that blows you and I am the one that knows you
Like nobody else, like nobody else
I hope you’ll know a love so true like how choked up I get over loving you
Like nobody else, like nobody else
Higher than the clouds above
A gentle breeze, a swift morning dove
Always know, my love
You are the rain that cools me, and you are the one who changes me
Like nobody else, like nobody else
I hope you’ll feel a love so true, where you want to be a better you
For nobody else, for nobody else
Higher than the clouds above
A gentle breeze, a swift morning dove
Always know, my love
I am the ground you stand on, one friend you can depend on
Like nobody else, like nobody else
You are the light that guides me, when there’s no one left beside me
Like nobody else, like nobody else
Higher than the clouds above
A gentle breeze, a swift morning dove
Always know, my love

Get me a ticket

Get me a ticket
Sitting on the back step trying to take a deep breath, staring at the pale moonlight
Praying for a breakthrough when you going to come through hoping it will be alright
I really need a friend like you tonight all my dream seem so out of sight
Take me, get me a ticket to anywhere
Send for me, show me that you really care
Gotta put the washing on and get the dinner done and put the kids to bed
And try to get a little sleep before I get woken up it’s really doing in my head
I really need a friend like you tonight all my dreams seem so out of sight
Take me, get me a ticket to anywhere
Send for me, show me that you really care
Day in, day out feels like I’m doing time. I know it looks like I”m coping fine
I could really use a friend to talk it through, to be the voice of reason tonight
I’m at the bottom now, never been this low before. I’m at the bottom now, can’t take it anymore
Take me, get me a ticket to anywhere
Send for me, show me that you really care

Till first I held your hand
Who would I be without you here if I’m honest?
The stars wouldn’t shine and the ocean no more if truth be told
There’s not a pain that I wouldn’t face to know your soft gentle breathing
I never knew a love like this till first I held your hand,
in mine
Where would I go without you here if I’m thinking straight
The sun would hide away and the plants would not grow in a world without
When I hold you close to me there is no world without
There’s not a pain that I wouldn’t face to know your soft gentle breathing
I never knew a love like this till first I held your hand,
in mine

Shadowlands

Shadowlands
I know a winter, it’s frozen me still. I know a darkness casts shadows around
I see a blackbird, out on the lawn. I hear it’s song when it comes on the dawn
Day it passes over, and a thousand dreams lay in shadowlands
Till I step out into the light
I know a springtime, it’s opening me. I know a lightness where hope abounds
I see the flowers, bursting to life. I walk the orchard and take in the sights
Day it passes over, and a thousand dreams lay in shadowlands
Till I step out into the light
I know a summer, it’s filling me up. I know the buzz the hum and the rush
I pick the harvest, that comes as a gift. I taste the goodness unto my lips
Day it passes over, and a thousand dreams lay in shadowlands
Till I step out into the light
I know an autumn, it’s slowing me down. I know a time to put both feet on the ground
I hear the wisdom, of others before. When my time comes, I’ll cross over life’s door.
Day it passes over, and a thousand dreams lay in shadowlands
Till I step out into the light

Hold on tight
03:50

Hold on Tight
I’m riding on a horse with no saddle
I make my path and feel the road turn, we make our way the rhythm to learn
Hold on tight it’s gonna be a fast fast ride
Take the moment in, cause all we have is right here now
Big hill, the pace getting slower
When we go down gravity pulls us it’s now we hit the perfect stride
Hold on tight it’s gonna be a fast fast ride
Take the moment in, cause all we have is right here now
Let’s go, to a path we’ve not taken
I see the world as a child would, and know the lightness of my beating heart
Hold on tight it’s gonna be a fast fast ride
Take the moment in, cause all we have is right here now
All we need is right here now
